Learn moreWe understand the anxiety behind losing or breaking teeth in adulthood — it can affect your jaw structure, your speech, and how you show up in a room. We take the time to assess the extent of your oral health, explain your options plainly, and help you check what your dental insurance will actually cover before any work begins.
We recommend removable implant dentures to many of our patients because of the stability and confidence they provide. They may take a little time to adjust to, but they remove the risk of oral complications later on — and we make sure your measurements are recorded precisely to design the best-fit denture for your mouth.
We’ve accumulated years of experience providing denture services, and moved from Metro Vancouver to call Fort St. John home — you’ll find us in the clinic Monday to Friday, and on an emergency basis Saturdays.

More on First Nations coverageRather than paying up front and waiting to be reimbursed, we submit claims directly to your insurance company wherever possible, and walk you through what’s covered at your free consultation.
More on insurance billingTeeth play a key role in chewing and supporting your facial structure. Without replacement, missing teeth can affect eating, speech, and cause facial muscles to sag over time. Dentures replace natural teeth and support that structure so you can eat, speak, and smile comfortably.
Dentures are typically made using either chromium-cobalt metal or acrylic for the base plate, which holds the denture in place by suction. The artificial teeth themselves are usually acrylic, shaped and shaded to look natural.
Conventional dentures are fitted after teeth are removed and the gums heal, which can take several months. Immediate dentures are fitted the same day teeth are removed, so you’re never without teeth — though they may need relining later as your gums heal and change shape.
At first, yes — but it’s not difficult to adjust. Start with soft foods cut into small pieces and chew slowly on both sides of your mouth. For speech, practising tricky words out loud in your own time helps your mouth adapt quickly.
Remember: brush, soak, brush. Remove your dentures over a folded towel or water-filled sink, gently brush away food debris, soak them, then brush again. Avoid scrubbing too hard, as it can groove the surface — and book a professional clean with us periodically.
Yes — most dentures should be checked, refitted, or replaced roughly every five years, since your bone and gums continue to change shape with age. Loose or ill-fitting dentures can lead to sores and discomfort, so periodic checkups matter.
Dental implants are pure titanium posts anchored into the jawbone to secure a denture in place, improving stability for eating and speaking. The standard process spans roughly 4–5 months and typically requires 2–3 appointments with us.
